This summer, the Idaho Falls Police Department has launched a new pilot program for motorcycle officers. Two officers who are part of the Traffic Unit have swapped their patrol vehicles for motorcycles.
Every single Idaho Falls Police Officer will be working on July 4th. Outside of normal staffing to address other calls around the city, IFPD will also have an additional two-officer team responding to firework complaints on July 2nd, 3rd, 5th, & 6th.
