    Explore the wonderful world of animals in depth and challenge your understanding of the sciences. Students must be in 5th grade or older. Does your child want to be a zoo keeper or biologist when they grow up? If so, then this is the camp for them. Learn what a zoo keeper does, participate in biology experiments, and have some close encounters with zoo animals.

  3. Bat Night at the Zoo

    Calling all bat fans! See the zoo in a whole new light (or, in this case no light)! Join us for the second summer of Bat Night at the Zoo. Bat experts with BYU-Idaho and Veolia Nuclear Solutions will introduce you to the bats of Idaho, why they’re important, and how your zoo is helping expand the knowledge of local bats. We’ll start with a brief presentation for the adults and activities for the kids in the Maeck Education Center. As it gets dark, we’ll go in to the zoo and explore the bats the visit each night to feed. Cost of the event is $5.50 per person ages 4 and over. 3 and under is free. You’ll discover bats really are the super heroes of the animal world!

  4. Adult Class- Exotics in Idaho

    We’ll investigate the characteristics of animals that live at Idaho Falls Zoo and compare them with animals native to Idaho. Learn about animal characteristics, biological classification, species management and zoo collections while you explore the zoo in depth. NOTE: You must register separately with BOTH Idaho Falls Zoo AND NNU.
