Olive Structure Fire_March 7 2019

Idaho Falls, ID:   On March 7, 2019 at approximately 11:18 p.m., the Idaho Falls Fire Department was dispatched to 620 E 1st Street for a report of a structure fire. Upon arrival, firefighters found smoke coming from the northeast corner of a single story vacant building located just south of the Planet Doom Haunted House.

The vacant structure was donated to the Idaho Falls Fire Department and serves as a training structure for the department. However, firefighters do not use the structure for live burn training and were not engaged in a training when the fire started.

The doors and windows were completed secured when firefighters arrived and there were no individuals found inside or outside the building. There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters. Firefighters were able to keep the fire contained to one room and it did not extend into the roof.Olive Training Structure
