Craig Blankenship, 36, was arrested on a Felony charge of Robbery after he allegedly robbed the Bank of Commerce on W. Broadway around 9:30 on Tuesday morning.
Thanks to the teamwork of the bank and other local businesses, the police department, community members and our media partners, the suspect was apprehended within 11 hours total.
"Help from the public is absolutely essential to effective community policing," said Chief Bryce Johnson. "We want to thank the people of Idaho Falls and our media partners for sharing this information promptly."
The investigation is ongoing, but Blankenship was booked into Bonneville County Jail on Tuesday evening.

Update 6:00 PM, 6/26: Idaho Falls Police received a tip from the public which helped them to locate and detain a man whom they believe is the suspect of the bank robbery.
Police believe the man is the one pictured in the photos obtained through video surveillance footage.
