Thanks to the teamwork of the bank and other local businesses, the police department, community members and our media partners, the suspect was quickly apprehended.

Updated 6:00 PM: Idaho Falls Police received a tip from the public which helped them to locate and detain a man whom they believe is the suspect of the bank robbery.

"Help from the public is absolutely essential to effective community policing," said Chief Bryce Johnson. "We want to thank the people of Idaho Falls and our media partners for the prompt attention in sharing this information."

Police believe the man is the one pictured in the photos obtained through video surveillance footage.
