[ARCHIVED] Great News for Golfers! Sand Creek Golf Course Opens Tomorrow!

Happy Golfers, Sand Creek Golf CourseHey golfers…break out those clubs! We have great news!  Sand Creek Golf Course opens tomorrow!

“Not only are we opening the driving range at Sand Creek, but we are also opening the short course and all 18 holes,” explains Tim Reinke, Pinecrest Golf Course Manager of Golf Operations and PGA Professional.

Thanks to recent warmer temperatures, the driving range at Sage Lakes Golf Course opened today. If the warmer temperatures continue, the Department of Parks and Recreation will look to open Sage Lakes and Pinecrest Golf Courses within the next days.

“This is the earliest we have ever opened the Sand Creek Golf Course in our history. All three courses have weathered the winter very well.  This is also a great time for golf enthusiasts and beginners to purchase season passes, gift certificates, punch cards and other golf supplies at our full service pro shops,” states Greg A. Weitzel, Director of Parks and Recreation for the City of Idaho Falls.

“We are looking forward to a great season, seeing familiar faces, welcoming beginners to the game, and sharing our love for the sport with those who have yet to experience our championship courses,” adds Reinke.

See our website for additional information, to reserve a tee time and for contact information to check on course conditions.
