Beginning on Monday, January 29, Eagle Rock Timber will close 10th Street, between S. Lee Avenue and S. Boulevard, to local traffic only.
Barring unforeseen conditions, the closure will be continuous from 6:00 a.m. on January 29 to 5:00 p.m. on January 31.
The closure is necessary to allow crews to install a new drain line across 10th Street. No utility services will be interrupted.
Access to and from homes on this block will be provided by allowing temporary two-way traffic from the construction area near S. Boulevard to S. Lee Avenue.
To keep traffic at a minimum, local residents are the only traffic permitted in the area. No traffic will be permitted beyond the Common Cents property line where the city well is located.
Access to the Common Cents store will only be available from S. Boulevard. The access on 10th Street will be closed for the duration of the project.
Customers should park in the Common Cents parking lot only rather than on 10th Street. Residents should park all vehicles in residential driveways rather than on the roadway. This will facilitate local two-way traffic to be maintained, allowing access in and out of the area for the neighborhood. Proper parking will also ensure that access remains available for emergency vehicles, such as fire engines.
