Idaho Falls, ID – The Idaho Falls Planning Division of the Community Development Services Department will hold three public meetings to discuss proposed changes to the zoning ordinance and resulting rezones. The meetings are open to the public.
-January 24, 4:00-7:00 p.m., Idaho Falls Public Library, 457 W. Broadway
-January 31, 4:00-7:00 p.m., Longfellow Elementary School, 2500 S. Higbee
-February 7, 4:30-7:30 p.m., Compass Academy Room 305, 955 Garfield Street
The first two meetings will cover general information about the changes affecting all zones in the city. The third meeting at Compass Academy will only cover the Traditional Neighborhood Zone. Each meeting will also explain which properties will need to be rezoned as a result of the new ordinance.
At each meeting, staff will give a brief presentation once each hour followed by questions and answers. The remaining time will be an open house format. Maps and other information will be on display for citizens to review.
For those who cannot attend the meetings, the maps will be available on the Planning Division’s website. A series of videos explaining the changes to the code area also available on the website.
