Idaho Falls Power thanks all of their customers who were so patient yesterday as they worked through the long list of individual outages. They will be in clean up mode for a few days following yesterday's storm.
"A heartfelt thank you to the crews that worked so many hours in weather most of us stayed out of yesterday, and into the night," states Idaho Falls Power General Manager, Jackie Flowers. "We had members from other crews in metering, substations, electricians, communications and tree trimming join our line crews. Long hours, little opportunity to pause - they gave their all. They were our yesterday heroes - and should be everyday heroes."
Today's priority (Oct. 15) is continued power restoration. There are some customers who will need Idaho Falls Power to restore power after their electricians repair damage to customer equipment.
For Idaho Falls Power customers who are experiencing an outage or are ready for restoration, call (208) 612-8430.
For those customers who called Idaho Falls Power yesterday to report a tree on a wire, crews will be working on tree trimming for days to come. We appreciate your continued patience.

Multiple Power Outages Due to Snow Fall
Press Release & Updates - October 14, 2017
UPDATE: 5:02 PM: There are currently less than 350 customers still without power. We are getting closer to having everyone's power restored. We are grateful for everyone's patience. As you can imagine this has been a really long day for our line crews, dispatch operators and communications team.
We apologize for the outages. We recognize it is an inconvenience. To expedite repairs we remind residents that equipment -- such as the mast/weather head or the meter base -- needing repairs are the responsibility of the homeowner. Residents are also responsible for tree limb removal because line crews must make necessary repairs and move to the next location to repair electrical lines.
UPDATE 3:00 PM: The line crews are making great progress. The tree crew came in to assist. But we still have hundreds of individual outages. These are very localized and complicated as they involve downed trees and downed lines. The crews have to visit each location. We are moving crews as efficiently as we can through the system. We appreciate everyone's patience and apologize for the inconvenience.
UPDATE 8:23 AM: Good morning! Wet heavy snow on trees with leaves is pushing trees into lines and causing outages scattered throughout town. Crews have been out working since 3:30 a.m. These types of outages take longer to restore due to the random nature of the outages - they have to visit each outage location. We appreciate your patience. Our phone lines continue to be overwhelmed. We encourage you to either private message our Facebook page with your outage location or log it in on the website using the outage reporting option. We will be working on restoration most of the day. Thank you for your patience! SAFETY NOTE: please stay away from any downed lines or trees in lines.
Original Notice: We have multiple outages scatter throughout the Idaho Falls area due to heavy snow fall. We have all available personnel out working to restore power as soon as possible. Due to the wide variety of outage locations, we currently do not have restore times. Line crews are restoring power issues as they come in as fast as possible. We are asking residents to have patience as our crews work to restore power.
Updates will be posted on this notice as well as on the Idaho Falls Power Facebook page.
