Crews will be working on four different projects calling for road closures between July 29 and August 7.
UTAH AVENUE
Track Utilities will be doing emergency fiber repairs on Utah Avenue this weekend. The repairs require a full closure from the Broadway and Utah Avenue intersection, south to Houston Street from Saturday, July 29 at 9:00 p.m. until Monday, July 31 at 6:00 a.m. Traffic will be detoured.
On Monday morning, one lane of Utah Avenue will open for southbound traffic. Northbound traffic will continue to be detoured using Houston Street and Houston Circle.
The project also includes asphalt repairs and repainting. Barring any unforeseen conditions, the anticipated completion time is noon on July 31. For questions, call Track Utilities at (208) 552-2630.
HOLMES & ELVA
Effective, Monday, July 31, 2017, TMC Contractors will close Holmes Avenue and Elva Street where the two roads intersect. Traffic will be detoured.
GARFIELD STREET
Crews will begin concrete and asphalt work on Garfield Street from Winston Avenue to Kelsey Avenue on Tuesday, August 1. That section of roadway will close to through traffic until August 7. Traffic will be detoured to Halsey Street. For questions, call the Street Division at (208) 612-8490.
PARK AVENUE
East Idaho Railroad will replace the railroad crossing panels at Park Avenue, near the Idaho Falls Library. Park Avenue from the Broadway intersection to just south of the library will close on August 3 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For questions, call East Idaho Railroad at (866) 889-2826.
