Due to the Extreme Blue Thunder Air Show taking place at the Idaho Falls Regional Airport (IDA) this Saturday & Sunday (July 22 & 23), airport staff is advising travelers to plan for extra time to get to the airport for commercial flights.
Travelers should plan for at least 2-3 hours of extra travel time to get to the terminal. This applies to all outbound flights on both Saturday & Sunday.
Access points to the airport will be limited due to road closures. The only approach to the airport to get to a terminal is from Broadway & Skyline Drive.
While commercial air traffic will not be significantly interrupted by the air show, as arrangements have been made with the Federal Aviation Administration and air traffic control to coordinate inbound and outbound flights around the air show performance schedule, travel time to the airport will be impacted. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.
