IDAHO FALLS – To improve efficiency in access to public records, the City of Idaho Falls has implemented a new process for requesting public records.
Beginning Jan. 29, 2024, the City of Idaho Falls will utilize an online form to accept requests for copies of public records. With the launch of the JustFOIA system, requestors of public information can now submit Idaho Public Records Requests through an easy-to-use online form.
“Having an informed and engaged public who have easy access to public records makes our city better for all,” said Idaho Falls City Clerk Corrin Wilde. “We look forward to having this system in place that will ensure we can maintain transparent and efficient access to public records as outlined by Idaho law.”
The form can be found on the city’s website HERE or by visiting https://idahofallsid.justfoia.com/publicportal/home/newrequest
In the past, the City of Idaho Falls has utilized paper forms for individuals to request copies of public records. As Idaho Falls' population grows, the number of requests increases. Implementing the JustFOIA system will allow a streamlined process to accept, keep track of and appropriately and quickly respond to requests to receive copies of public records.
Those with questions on how to fill out the form or would prefer to request public records in person are welcome to contact and visit the City Clerk’s Office at 308 Constitution Way, Idaho Falls, Idaho 83402 or by calling (208) 612-8415.
