Join the Idaho Falls Zoo for a ‘merry not scary time’ at Boo at the Zoo

IDAHO FALLS – Get ready for a wild adventure as Boo at the Zoo approaches, bringing spooky fun to the Idaho Falls Zoo.

From Oct. 19 through Oct. 21, your zoo will only be open for Boo at the Zoo from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Guests not only get a peak at the animals but will enjoy over 500,000 lights, pumpkins, light sculptures, decorations, and trick-or-treat stations throughout the zoo. There are also costume contests each night for all ages.

“Boo at the Zoo is a wonderful event every year,” said Idaho Falls Zoo Director David Pennock. “It’s an enchanting blend of the animal kingdom and Halloween magic, where the thrill of encountering creatures of the wild meets the delight of ‘merry, not scary,’ Halloween festivities.”

Zoo memberships, guest passes, discounts or any other promo tickets are NOT valid for Boo at the Zoo.

The event, hosted by the Tautphaus Park Zoological Society (TPZS), is one of the largest events in southeastern Idaho. Over the three-day event, the zoo expects up to 15,000 guests to parade themselves around the zoo decked out in their costumes.

Supporting the TPZS is a great way to help your Idaho Falls Zoo and be a part of incredible community events. All monies from zoo fundraisers, like Boo at the Zoo, support zoo projects, and this year’s events will go toward constructing a new entrance and gift shop at the Idaho Falls Zoo.

Tickets for the event are $7 in advance and $10 at the gate. Buy tickets ahead of time at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/boo-at-the-idaho-falls-zoo-2021-tickets-154106295077
