[ARCHIVED] Power Outage - Rack Substation

UPDATE: (12:17 p.m.) Everyone in the affected area should have power back on. If you are still without power, please contact us at 612-8430. The outage occurred due to a lightening strike that hit the Rack Substation (just off of Sunnyside Road). We thank everyone for their patience.

We are working to get things restored. There are still a few places that are still without power. Please continue to follow us for updates.

UPDATE (11:54 am): Areas are starting to see the power come back on.

ORIGINAL ALERT: Idaho Falls Power is experiencing a transformer failure at the Rack Substation. We do have a crew out working to correct the issue. The outage is affecting customers in areas south of 17th St. Please watch this website and Idaho Falls Power/City of Idaho Falls Facebook pages for updates. Thanks for your patience.
