IDAHO FALLS – Everyone is okay after a single-engine aircraft landed at the Idaho Falls Regional Airport Sunday, March 19, while experiencing a landing gear malfunction.
Around 11:30 a.m., a Bonanza B36TC made the emergency landing on the airport’s main runway. Airport and Idaho Falls firefighters responded, but no injuries were reported.
As the aircraft landed without its landing gear, it was unable to move off the runway. This forced the closure of the runaway until shortly after 2 p.m. when crews were able to get the airplane moved.
The closure of the runaway did delay commercial travel at the airport, but airport operations have resumed to normal.
