[ARCHIVED] Calling all bat fans: Bat night at Idaho Falls Zoo is back!

Bat Night

IDAHO FALLS -- Bat Night at the Idaho Falls Zoo is back by popular demand!

On Wednesday, Sept. 7, see your zoo and the wild bats that live there in a whole new light (or, in this case, no light)! Bat experts with BYU-Idaho and Idaho National Laboratory will introduce you to the bats of Idaho, why they’re important, how your zoo is helping protect natural habitat and expand the knowledge of local bats.

Doors open at 7:00 p.m., and the program begins at 7:30 p.m. We’ll meet in the William J. Maeck Education Center with a brief presentation and then break into groups to explore the zoo at night and the amazing world of bats. You’ll also enjoy fun interactive displays and activities for the whole family.

You must register in advance to attend. Admissions will not be sold at the event. The event cost is $6.50 per person ages three and older. Two and under is only $0.50. Sign up today at https://www.idahofallsidaho.gov/1312/Bat-Night-at-the-Zoo

You’ll gain a new appreciation for bats and discover they really are the superheroes of the animal world!
