IDAHO FALLS -- As our world, nation and communities face challenging times the City of Idaho Falls encourages residents to participate in Idaho Gives.
The statewide campaign from May 2 to May 5, 2022, brings Idahoans together by raising awareness and money for Idaho nonprofits. The program, hosted by the Idaho Nonprofit Center, rallies over 16,000 donors to raise nearly $4 million for over 600 nonprofits in Idaho Falls and across the State.
“Idaho Falls is home to amazing nonprofits which serve vital functions in our community every day,” Idaho Falls Mayor Rebecca Casper said. “Giving just a small amount can help lift those who are striving to benefit our community.”
Through the Idaho Gives campaign interested people can visit the website and learn more about nonprofits in their communities that could use support. To make the process easier, Idaho Gives allows individuals to search nonprofits by location, cause and need.
Donors can also contribute to organizations with ties to the City, including the Tautphaus Park Zoological Society. Donations to the Zoological society this year will go towards the ongoing efforts to restore Funland at the Zoo which hopes to open this summer.
“Nonprofits are the foundation that our local communities are built on,” CEO of the Idaho Nonprofit Center Kevin Bailey said. “They are the forefront of providing health care, food security, conservation, the arts and so much more. In short, nonprofits are at the center of what makes our towns and cities great places to live.”
Idaho Gives is sponsored by Idaho Central Credit Union, the Idaho National Laboratory and Boise Cascade. The City of Idaho Falls is also proud to support this event by challenging our community and other mayors to participate in this cause.
