Senior Day at the Zoo
Monday, Aug. 2 is Senior Day at the Idaho Falls Zoo. Visitors 62 years old and older get in for only 50 cents from 9:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
This annual event, hosted in conjunction with Lincoln Court, offers a hot dog lunch for a suggested $5 donation per person to the Alzheimer’s Foundation, and live music by the Old Time Fiddlers, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. The zoo animal ambassadors will also be making guest appearances between 10:00-11:00 a.m.
Hawaiian Luau at the Zoo
On Friday, Aug. 13, bring the family to a fun, energy-filled fundraiser hosted by the Tautphaus Park Zoological Society. Mama Mango Madness Hawaiian Luau will run from 5:30 -8:30 p.m. and this year, it’s open to all ages. Stroll the zoo enjoying fruity wines and non-alcoholic drinks. Then, the night really heats up with performances by the Mountain Taiko Drummers and Happy Hula. Enjoy beautiful and amazing Polynesian dances and we’ll end the event with a traditional fire dance! As this event is a fundraiser, TPZS annual memberships are not valid for admission. Tickets range from $15-$45 depending on age and are available at https://tinyurl.com/2v7zk5nw.
