DSC02035

Several events are coming up this month in conjunction with the Idaho Falls Zoo that you won't want to miss!

Smokin' Fins Gives Back with 10% Tuesday: On Tuesday, Sept. 3 take your family and friends to Smokin' Fins because 10% of everything you purchase will be donated to the Tautphaus Park Zoological Society which supports projects and improvements at the Idaho Falls Zoo. Smokin' Fins is open 11:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m.

Zoo Moves to Fall Hours: Starting Tuesday, Sept. 3 the zoo will be open daily 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. through Oct. 7. Fall is a great time to see the animals in the zoo family as the weather begins to cool down. Be aware some of the less cold-hearty animals will start moving into their off-exhibit winter homes during this month.Zoo Brew: Lions, Tigers, and Beers, Oh My! On Friday, Sept. 13 from 5:00-8:30 p.m. the popular

Zoo Brew event is back! The North American Brewers Association and Tautphaus Park Zoological Society bring you this exciting annual adults-only zoo fundraiser featuring beers, food and music. TPZS membership is not valid for admission. Must be 21 or older to attend & must show ID for admittance into event. Visit www.tpzs.info for event information and ticket purchase.

We Appreciate YOU! Saturday, Sept. 21 is Community Appreciation Day at Idaho Falls Zoo which means everyone 4 and over gets in to the zoo for only $1.00 AND a can of food per person. 3 and under, as usual, is free. This event is made possible by the generous support of Life Care Center. All food collected during Community Appreciation Day will be donated to the Idaho Falls Community Food Basket.

Zoo Launches Family Nature Program: On Saturday, Sept. 21 join the zoo as we head north to explore Camas National Wildlife Refuge during their Birds, Bugles, and Brunch event. Thanks to the generosity of Friends of Camas NWR, we'll have a free bus available to take the first 70 people who register to the refuge for a morning of fun family-friendly activities. Thanks to the generous support of INL's K-12 STEM grant program, we'll be offering a new family science-based activity each month. Visit https://www.idahofallsidaho.gov/1416/Family-Nature-Program to learn more and register.

Idaho Falls Zoo staff and volunteers thank you for all your support of the best little zoo in the west! Zoo hours are daily 9 a.m.-6 p.m. now through Labor Day. For more information, visit the Idaho Falls Zoo online or like us on Facebook and Instagram.
