Winter Break Classes Ages 5-13

Ages 5-8

($12 each class for TPZS members, $15 for nonmembers)
A great way to introduce your younger child to the zoo’s exciting education programs. Student must be in kindergarten or older. If your child takes both classes, please send a sack lunch with them.

Cold-Blooded Friends Dec 18, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
How do cold-blooded animals keep warm? Explore the characteristics of cold-blooded animals and how they are adapted to their environment.

Food Web Fun Dec 18, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Find out who eats who and why food webs are important to ecosystems.

Ages 9-13

($20 for TPZS members, $25 for nonmembers)
We’ll combine science, exploration, arts, crafts and lots of fun in these one day classes. Student must be in the 3rd grade or older. Please send your child with a lunch.

Extreme Animals Dec 19, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Animals have the most bizarre adaptations. Learn about these animals and how they survive in the wild!

Catitude Dec 20, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Cats are the coolest. Have fun learning about our cats at the zoo and what makes them special.
