Police Reports

Police reports are only released in accordance with the Idaho Public Records Law Title 9 Chapter 3 sections 9-337 through 9-350. You can review a copy of the statute online.

Members of the media are directed to contact IFPD's Public Information Officer regarding requests made for a media purpose. 

For general questions regarding obtaining a copy of Police reports, please call Idaho Falls Police Records at 208-612-8600, Monday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Tuesday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Fingerprinting

Fingerprints can be obtained during business hours* on a walk-in basis by contacting Idaho Falls Police Records located on the main floor of the Idaho Falls Police Department at 605 North Capital Avenue Idaho Falls Idaho, or call 208-612-8600. There is a $10 charge per fingerprint card that must be paid prior to getting fingerprinted. The Records Department accepts cash, personal check, MasterCard and Visa.
*Due to illness or staffing, fingerprinting may not always be available. We recommend that you contact the Record Division at (208)612-8600 to verify that staff are available prior to coming to the station.

Warrants

You can find out if someone has a warrant by contacting the Records Department at 208-612-8600, Monday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Tuesday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. We can only disclose whether there is or is not a warrant, we cannot provide you with any further information or details about the warrant.
