Community Night Out

The Idaho Falls Police Department is a proud sponsor of the annual Community Night Out - Idaho Falls' biggest summertime block party!

This free, family-friendly event strives to encourage crime and drug prevention awareness, support and participation in anti-crime programs, strengthen community spirit and agency partnerships and provide valuable information about safety and local organizations and agencies.

Most importantly, it's an opportunity for law enforcement and residents to mingle together.

Each year the event is possible with the help of multiple agencies, businesses and volunteers that participate in this annual event. There's live entertainment, train rides, games, bounce houses, superhero appearances, free food, and a scavenger hunt. Participants also are able to check out the law enforcement police cars, Idaho Falls Regional Bomb Squad robot, the IFPD Crime Scene Investigation van, Idaho Falls Fire Department trucks and animals from the Idaho Falls Animal Shelter.

This event is held in conjunction with the Idaho Falls Arts Council Roaring Youth Jam and the Rotary's Great Snake River Idaho Falls Duck Races in August on the River Walk.
