Community Night Out

The Idaho Falls Police Department is a proud sponsor of the annual Community Night Out - Idaho Falls' biggest summertime block party: Community Night Out.

This free family-friendly event creates awareness of crime and drug prevention, invites support and participation in anti-crime programs, strengthens community spirit and agency partnerships and provides valuable information about local public safety organizations and agencies.

Most importantly, it's an opportunity for law enforcement and residents to connect.

Each year, this event is made possible by multiple agencies, businesses and volunteers.

This event is held in conjunction with the Idaho Falls Arts Council Roaring Youth Jam and the Rotary's Great Snake River Idaho Falls Duck Races in August on the River Walk.

Live entertainment, train rides, games, bounce houses, superhero appearances, free food, and a scavenger hunt are some of the community's favorites. Participants also are able to check out police cars, the IFPD crime scene investigation van, Idaho Falls Fire Department trucks, the Idaho Falls Regional Bomb Squad's robot and meet some animals from the Idaho Falls Animal Shelter.
