Water Facility Plan

Completed by Murray, Smith and Associates, in collaboration with the city, the Water Facility Plan conducts a top-to-bottom analysis of the city's water system. The plan provides key water system information, evaluations and recommendations that will help guide decision-making for city leadership and staff regarding the growth and sustainability of the water system.
The plan includes:
  • A description of the existing water system
  • City's population growth and future water demand projections
  • Evaluations of the city's water system supply, distribution, condition of existing facilities and operation and maintenance programs
  • A capital improvement program that recommends projects
  • Cost estimates for recommended projects with associated financial plans and funding strategies
