Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
The City of Idaho Falls' Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Division is responsible for the administration of the collection, maintenance and distribution of mapping and geographic information including aerial photography, electric, water, sewer, storm, sanitation, snow, street, traffic, and related data. The Division also assists other City Departments and the public by providing essential information via the online maps.

Sanitation
The City of Idaho Falls' Sanitation Division provides solid waste collection and disposal for the purpose of maintaining a clean and healthy community.

Street
The City of Idaho Falls' Street Division is responsible for the maintenance of the streets, bridges, alleys, and public parking lots within the City Limits.

Wastewater / Sewer
The City of Idaho Falls' Wastewater Division maintains almost 370 miles of sanitary lines and 38 sanitary lift stations and treats sanitary wastewater and stormwater according to federal regulations for the health and safety of the City and areas of Bonneville County.

Water
The City of Idaho Falls' Water Division is responsible for the supply and distribution of potable water to residential and commercial properties throughout the City. The Division maintains all municipal wells, public water main and service lines, water meters, an fire hydrants. The Water Division preserves the health and safety of the community by delivering clean tap water and fire suppression.

Public Works 2019 Annual Report
The City of Idaho Falls' Public Works Department is tasked with providing essential services to the residents of Idaho Falls. These services include mapping and administration of public streets and right of ways, design and construction of city infrastructure improvements, refuse removal, water supply and distribution and management of our sanitary sewer and stormwater systems. The following six divisions of Public Works work to accomplish these goals:
