ICUA Youth Rally

*Due to COVID-19, the 2020 ICUA Youth Rally has been canceled. Idaho Falls Power (along with other local utilities) are considering doing a smaller regional conference. More information will be posted later if IFP opts to plan an event for later this summer. Students are still encouraged to submit their applications for the 2021 ICUA Youth Rally.

Idaho Falls Power supports a variety of educational opportunities to empower today's youth to become tomorrow's leaders.

Each year, Idaho Falls Power sponsors several local high school students at the Idaho Consumer-Owned Utilities Association's (ICUA) annual Youth Rally. For one week, youth -- representing Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Nevada, Oregon, Washington and Alaska -- converge in Caldwell, Idaho, at the College of Idaho Campus to participate in a variety of activities and classes to promote positive relationships and build skills in leadership, teamwork, perseverance, and more. Students have a chance to also learn more about government, drug and alcohol awareness, and the electrical/energy industry.

IFP covers all expenses for the students to attend the 2021 event. The scholarship program is open to high school sophomores and juniors. Those accepted are also eligible to receive college scholarship awards. At the 2019 rally, students from Idaho Falls received $3,500 in scholarships.

Applications are available at the counselor's offices at the local high schools and at Idaho Falls Power, 140 S Capital Ave. You can also download them below. For more information, please email us.
