Badging
Security badges are required at the Idaho Falls Regional Airport for officials needing access to restricted areas in regulation with TSA and CFR 49, part 1542 regulatory requirements. Badges are only issued after applicants undergo mandatory training and background checks.
Fingerprints and Background Checks
New employees and other officials receiving a security badge must make a twenty-minute appointment at the badging office for fingerprinting.
Badging Forms
Badging forms can be picked up in the administrative offices or downloaded here. The administrative offices are located on the departure side of the airport. For questions, please contact: Grant Kendall at gkendall@idahofalls.gov.
Badging Classes
Badging classes are offered every Tuesday. SIDA classes are held at 1:15 p.m., AOA/General Aviation classes are held at 3:00 p.m., and Sterile classes are held at 4:00 p.m.
Badging Office
The badging or administration office is located on the first floor of the Idaho Falls Regional Airport. The entrance is located on the departure side of the building, passing the airline ticket counters.
The badge office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Employee Parking
Airport employees must complete and submit the Employee Parking Form at the IDA badging office. After receiving this form, the administration office will issue the new employee a parking permit.
Parking can be accessed by turning left from International Way onto Borah Ave. Employees will turn right after passing Economy Lot 2 and follow the road until they reach the employee parking lot (closest to the airport's departure side).
Employees must display their parking permits to utilize the lot. Passes may not be used for personal travel.
