CITY PARK & BOAT DOCK CLOSURES DURING INDEPENDENCE DAY

Ryder Park

Ryder Park will be open to foot traffic but CLOSED to vehicle traffic beginning at noon on July 3. The park will reopen to vehicles at 8:00 AM on July 5.

South Tourist Park

South Tourist Park is the command post for emergency personnel from the Idaho Falls Police Department, Bonneville County Sheriff's Office and the Idaho Falls Fire Department. In order for emergency vehicles to respond quickly in the event of an emergency, South Tourist Park will be CLOSED to all public vehicles, boats & campers/RVs beginning at noon on July 3. These items will be towed if they are not removed from the park by noon on July 3. The park will reopen to vehicles boats and camping at 8:00 AM on July 5. The park and adjacent River Walk/Greenbelt will remain open for foot/bicycle traffic.

Park Restrooms

All city park restrooms will be open during the Independence Day activities.

Boat Docks

The boat dock at South Tourist Park will be CLOSED on July 4.

The boat dock at 49th South and 81st South (Gem Lake) will be open until 4 PM on July 4. All boats need to be off the water. The gates and access will close at 4 PM.
