These American Red Cross Lifeguarding courses will provide entry-level lifeguard participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services (EMS) personnel take over.
Lifeguarding Certifications are good for 2 years once earned and great for a part-time job at the pool anywhere! Challenge yourself today.

Attendance at ALL Lifeguard Training Classes is MANDATORY
There are no make-up times for this class.
This is a blended learning class; some of the class must be completed at home on a computer.
Please understand that there will be at least 7 hours
of homework involved in this class.
Includes the following certifications: Lifeguard, Professional Rescuer CPR, AED, First Aid and Administering Emergency Oxygen
1. All candidates must be at least 15 years old 2. All candidates must pass the Swimming Test (taken on first day of class) consisting of:
Timed Event: completion within 1 minute-40 seconds.
Swim 20 yards of Front Crawl or Breast Stroke, surface dive 7-10ft and retrieve 10-lb weight, return to the surface and swim back to the starting point carrying the weight in both hands while keeping face above water (swimming on back with whip or rotary kick) and exit the water without using the ladder or steps.
Continuous 300 yard swim, demonstrating breath control and rhythmic breathing Tread water for 2 minutes using only the legs.
